Edita Quinde

About the farmer, Ms. Edita Quinde and her farm.

Edita lives with her husband and 4 children in the village of Vista Hermosa. She decided to become a member of COOPAFSI after seeing the technical  support and basic guidance for the cultivation and harvesting process of coffee on her father Esteban Quine Garcia's farm, which he received as a member.

She has learned to give her coffee the proper inputs and husbandry from seedling, planting, harvesting, pulping, fermenting and drying, according to customers requirements and quality standards, while always respecting the environment and farming organically.

Edita belongs to the women's committee where they are trained in raising small animals, weaving and handicrafts, in order to improve her family's quality of life. On her farm, she works with her husband Roman in the cultivation and care of their farms with new coffee plants, use of organic compost, as well as the presence of fruit trees, flowers, orchards and raising guinea pigs and chickens for the self-consumption of her family.

In her free time she works with their children in agricultural work, in order to instill in them love of the land and to preserve the tradition in agriculture.

Fantes Coffee believes in supporting small, sustainable coffee farmers, like Edita, which benefits the planet and you as the consumer of these fine soecialty coffees.  Please enjoy the Limited Time Offer - woman grown, woman roasted.
